There’s video and photos coming soon, but year ten is in the books. We thought we’d seen the last of the swell from Hurricane Gabby. But in keeping with tradition of Belmar Magic, she produced again today, with a bowly stomach-high line still pulsing into the Eighteenth Avenue beach for a stellar day of finals. The wind was offshore too and as soon as the Mens final ended the wind came up south. Ma Nature loves Belmar.

Wrightsville Beach boy, Ben Bourgeois repeated his 2009 win at Belmar with an outstanding backside performance in the final to best 2011 champ Vince Boulanger, 2010/12 champ Michael Dunphy and Randy Townsend.

Maddie Peterson, 15, chalked up her first professional win in the FSOS Womens Pro while event newcomer Justin Quintal, of Florida rode his nose all the way to the ASP Longboard title on a classic singlefin log.

Matt Keenan continued his dominance at the Belmar Pro with a quarterfinal finish in the Mens and his first victory in the Masters over Dean Randazzo. The Legends title went to famed surfboard shaper Robert Weiner. And of course, yesterday , Sam Orozco of Dana Point won the ASP Fins Pro Junior.

We want to thank everyone who has made the Fosters’s Belmar Pro such an amazing success as we wrap up our tenth year. There’s video and tons of photos on the way, so check back.
