It’s that time of year again to pay close attention to the surf on a daily basis leading up to the event.
Below is the current forecast this coming weekend courtesy of Micah Sklut from SurfCaptain.com :
The surf forecast is looking small for the Belmar Pro event. It looks like we are going to be in between swells.
We are looking for a mix of 1ft south wind swells and background swell mix Friday through Sunday. There will likely be periods of bigger 2ft south wind swell peaks during optimal tides. We are looking at moderate south to south-south-east winds through the period. Likely lighter 5-10mph south winds early, then picking up to 10-15mph through the afternoon.
Like with every year, things change on the daily and we could get saved by either an increase in windswell, or, the next swell event expected to start showing on Monday could start filling in a day early.
We will be glued to all weather and wave sources every day and will keep the updates coming as things change.
As always, stay tuned, and pray for surf! 🙏🏼
