Day 1 Friday, September 5th was dedicated to cranking through FINS Mens Open heats. Waves were holding out at waist to chest high with moderate to stiff south winds. We got lucky this year in regards to timing with the tides because we have mid-day low tides, so we get the best of both mid incoming and mid outgoing. The drop of tide exposed the middle sand bar to reveal some contestable surf.
