Day 3 of the 2014 Pacific Belmar Pro and Fins Pro Jr is complete. The weather changed drastically over night, taking with it the tents on the tower, but luckily bringing up the surf. After a short delay to fix the tower we got things up and running. In 3-4’ onshore choppy conditions 16 Heats were completed today, starting with Heats 1-8 of the Men’s Round of 32, Heats 1-4 of the Round of 16 and then finishing with Heats 1-4 of the Juniors Quarterfinals.
Today’s top performer in the Pacifico Belmar Pro was Huntington Beach’s Kanoa Igarashi, who posted two 8.33s for the Highest Wave Scores, for a total of 16.66 the Highest Heat Total of the day, in Heat 1, Round of 16.
Today’s top performer in the Fins Pro Jr was New Smyrna Beach’s Noah Schweizer, who posted a 7.67 for the Highest Wave Score, and a 13.87 for the Highest Heat Total of the day in Quarterfinal #1.
