As day 2 progressed surprisingly fun, glassy waves made their way into the contest zone with milky waist high runners for most of the day with many waves ridden. So much so, that in one particular 20 minute 4-man heat a total of 39 waves were ridden, and, in a womens Semi heat 8-time Belmar Pro winner Cassidy McClain got the highest heat total of the day with an impressive 15.7.
Well, yesterday was the absolute threshold of “contestable”, and FINS Mens Open heats happened, ….. that is until in the afternoon lightning bolts started cracking and the Belmar beach marshall called it
