Being a grassroots, fixed-date event, we pray HARD come game time that the surf Gods grant us contestable waves. Currently, we are smack dab in between two hurricane swells. Well, yesterday was the absolute threshold of “contestable”, and FINS Mens Open heats happened, ….. that is until in the afternoon lightning bolts started cracking and the Belmar beach marshall called it! Safety first!
Double digit heat score were made by Tucker Collins, Kaiden Cameron, Logan Hayes, Josh Nicastro, Alex Brooks, James Carr, and Cole Deveney.
Saturday is about to commence, and we are on our knees to the surf Gods to come through, and jeezz I guess we need mother nature to ease up on the lightning too?!
Head down to the beach and support the vendors, the live music, get some FINS, PlayaBowls and Coffee Surf and enjoy the day!
