Well, the surf gods answered and everyone rejoiced! Luck struck the Belmar Pro once again as a NE wind swell that whipped up that eventually turned into swell from “Earl” that started to fill in through the second half of the day. There were some solid overhead sets and much ripping went down and we were able to get through Round 3.
Standout performances were put down from surfers like Josh Burke, Josh Nicastro, Tucker Collins, Blayr Barton, Bo Raynor, Caleb Rapson, Paul Francisco, Kyle Tester, and Ryan Tracy to name a few. There were a couple of heats that saw ending heat scores above 15 points. Here are the top 5 heat scores for today:
- Bo Raynor: 16.23
- Blayr Barton: 15.93
- Caleb Rapsom: 15.73
- Tucker Collins: 14.90
- Josh Burke: 14.40
Tomorrow we resume heats at 10 am and all the vendors will be set up and live music as well.
